We believe that businesses have a responsibility towards the communities in which they operate. In 2022, The Body Shop India partnered with Young India Foundation to amplify more young voices in public life through Why25 programme ensuring that the next generation has a key say in matters that affect the future of our country. Young people have the right to be included in the decisions that affect them, however many barriers prevent their participation. To effect change, we are amplifying youth voices in public life.

We started campaigning to ban animal testing in 1989. We were the first global cosmetics company to do so. And we continue to lead best practice in our ground-breaking Community Fair Trade programme, through applying a more consistent approach to fair pricing.
