STORES

Alright, you handsome gentleman. Yes, you! Your wedding day is your moment in the spotlight, and while everyone talks about the bride’s glow, let’s make sure you don’t look like the insignificant other.
At The Body Shop, we have an entire range dedicated to skin care products for men, from shaving cream to foam cleanser. And here’s your groom’s cheat-sheet to looking sharp, staying fresh, and using effective skin care products (yes, that includes you, Mr. “I-just-wash-with-soap”).
You might think “cleansing = bar soap,” but modern brides (and Instagram) beg to differ. Use a gentle foam cleanser each morning and night to lift off oil, sweat, pollution, and “I stayed up late thinking of the guest list” residue.
Our Guarana and Coffee Energising Cleanser for Men works wonders for tired grooms in need of rescue. It helps your skin absorb everything you put on next (like moisturisers or SPF). Even your beard area benefits from this double-clean routine: think of it as prepping the canvas.
Whether you're planning a clean shave or a sculpted stubble, planning matters. In the weeks leading up to the wedding:
If you’re going smooth:
Always use a shaving cream or gel. Don’t dry-shave. It cushions the skin, reduces friction, and lowers the risk of razor burn. Our Maca Root & Aloe Softening Shaving Cream for Men (yes, it’s waiting for you) helps prevent razor burns and leaves skin feeling smooth and moisturised.
We even have a Wooden Shaving Brush that enhances the lather of your shaving cream. After you shave, apply a post-shave water gel like The Body Shop’s Maca Root & Aloe Post-Shave Water Gel to soothe irritation and calm redness.
After using cleansing and shaving products, you need to give your skin something good to drink. A lightweight, fast-absorbing moisturiser like our Guarana and Coffee Energising Moisturiser for Men helps lock in hydration.
Remember, hydration is key. Dull, dry skin photographs terribly under wedding lights and you (and your bride) don’t want that.
Use a lip balm daily (yes, men get dry lips too). We recommend our moisture-rich Olive Lip Care Stick.
If you see puffiness or dark circles creeping in, invest in an eye cream or serum like Vitamin C Eye Glow Serum.
The neck and jawline are often photographed. So, extend your cleanser, shave line, and moisturiser just one inch below your chin. Don’t stop abruptly at your jaw.
Night before: Cleanse → moisturise → chill. Don’t try new skin care products for men.
Morning of: Cleanse (foam) → shave or groom → apply your usual routine → last touch: a dash of cologne or fragrance (The Body Shop has those too).
Keep blotting sheets handy (for oily skin) and a travel size of your foam cleanser if you’ll be out all day.
You don’t need 17 bottles. Use the right few consistently, and that includes a foam cleanser, moisturiser, SPF, shaving cream and post-shave water gel. Turn to lip care and eye care if needed. The Body Shop’s men’s grooming range gives you curated, confidence-boosting formulas that tell your skin, “I’ve got you.” (Also, yes, they smell nice.)
Look your best. Feel your best. And enjoy all those selfies without any camera filter.
