The Youth Collective
In response to the need for greater representation and diversity of young voices in corporate decision-making, we have introduced our Youth Collective in India. The Youth Collective Council is our initiative and a program to include young people in our boardroom and incorporate their voices in business decisions.
YCC 2.0 which has been launched due to the success of our Youth Collective Council 1.0 launched in 2023. This initiative is designed to integrate young voices into our boardroom and impact our business decisions. YCC 1.0 insights led to concrete proposals across Youth Development, Environment, Inclusivity, and Gender Sensitivity.
We on boarded the 3 suggestive directions proposed by our previous members. These were successfully implemented across The Body Shop India:
Following the remarkable success and effective implementation of this first edition, we are now excited to launch the second edition of the Youth Collective Council.
Young visionaries Akash Ranison, Naman Sonpar, Anoushka and Dwishojoyee Banarjee joined The Body Shop India Youth Collective Council.
Our ultimate goal remains clear: to actively shape and amplify the voices of India's emerging change-makers, further involving them in creating an even more sustainable and inclusive future for all.
Akash’s dedication as a climate warrior and your insights into sustainable living are truly inspiring, especially as showcased through your advocacy and responsible travel.
Naman has also demonstrated a profound commitment to environmental stewardship through his impactful work focused on the clean-up and revitalization of the Yamuna River – Voicing the Yamuna.
Anoushka’s innovative work with the Kavach App, provides a vital shield for adolescents facing mental health issues, especially concerning climate change anxiety, is profoundly impactful.
Dwishojoyee Banerje, a dynamic force for change and the driving spirit behind all things green, right from The PaperBag Project to The Soft Movement, Dwish is tackling single-use plastic head-on.
This Youth Collective panel will offer feedback, ideas and strategic direction to The Body Shop in their respective fields. This diverse set of recognised young minds will support The Body Shop’s agenda of Youth Development, Environment, Inclusivity, and Gender Sensitivity. Each one of them will act as an advisor and work collectively to give perspectives to policy within The Body Shop India to nurture young people's outlook and the world they are looking to inherit.
